I am currently using Elance to develop a business site. The gap between what I drew in pencil and what they are able to deliver has closed but remains wide. I’d like to know if you are interested in having a look at my drawings (a basic wire frame with some notes) and where the developer has gotten to to see if you can finish the job in Thesis. If you think that you can accomplish what I’m trying to do (and even lend ideas that would make it better), let know.

I setup thesis 1.6 to run on WPMU?
Then I run into an issue that some pages does not load with my header and footer.
I wonder if you can take a look at my site and let me know if it’s do able.
I also would like to customize it a little more.
What are all pages not loaded in header and footer. tell me that pages.
The register page (WP-Signup.php) loads without header and footer and the login (WP-Login.php) loads with wordpress default.
Can we change these?

Can you give me a “read” of what I want to do in Thesis? I know it can be done (many sites have it), and I’ve even asked on DIY forum, but the results got…really complicated. As in high-level php and css styling (I’m okay with lower level php, I think, and a fair amount of css). Nothing I’ve found in the excellent Guide from here quite addresses this.
What I want:
1. Static homepage.
2. An announcement section (probably Teaser or Feature box?)
3. Having individual boxes below which will show the most recent posts, one category per box.
Sounds simple but it’s driving me nuts.
I’d really like to use Thesis to do this, rather than going to The Competition .

1.Static home page
You can set Static page in “Readings” under Settings tab of your wordpress dashboard. You can select any one of the page (that you have created already) as static home page.
2.Announce setction
If you want the announce section in individual post page, you can use this tutorial http://fourblogger.com/how-to-place-ads-box-before-the-post-title-in-wordpress-thesis-theme/ . This tutorial show you an announce section above the post title in single post page.
else if you want the announce section in home page and all post pages, you can use feature box. To do this, go to Design options in “Thesis options” and enable the feature box and you can also select how it should be displayed.
I am not clear with your third point. But I think it can be done by web developers. We will assist only queries related to our tutorials..
