This is one of the best landing page layouts you can use:

  1. Use single column. Don’t use 2 or 3 columns.
  2. Use small header and place the navigation in the header right side. Don’t give any external links (this is very important)!
  3. Next, below the header, give your title along with the product benefits. Use a large font size.
  4. Below the title, split the space into two parts (left and right side). Place your product video on the left side, and place your product benefits with bullet points on the right side.
  5. Below the product benefits, place the call-to-action button.
  6. Next, add the “best features” of your product
  7. Below the “best features”, add another call-to-action button.
  8. Next, add customer testimonials
  9. Also below the testimonials, add your bonus offer if you have any.
  10. Below the bonus offer, add another call-to-action button.
  11. Next, if you have any trust worthy images of results from customers who used your product (money check, increased traffic, etc), add this below the bonus offer section.
  12. Next, add the money back guarantee policy if you have any.
  13. Next, add a huge, call-to-action button at the end of the landing page.

If you create your landing page using the instructions above, this can turn into a lot of leads and product purchases. If you can’t create the landing page according to the instructions, you can use some excellent landing page products like:

1.optimizepress (wordpress)

2. Getpremise (wordpress)

The headline is the most important part of your landing page and therefore takes primary importance.  Create your headline effectively by clearly mentioning the most significant benefit of your product (e-book, e-course, membership site, etc).

First paragraph:

The first paragraph of your landing page is one of the most important parts of increasing conversion rates. In the first paragraph, you should clearly explain the concept of your product as well as the benefits and potential profits.

You can use bullet points to effectively explain the benefits and advantages of your product in your landing page. Bullet points organize thoughts and make visitors easily understand what they are reading. If some of the visitors are impressed with your product, they will purchase it immediately.

Giving product offers is an effective way to increase conversion rates. You can give offers in 4 ways, namely time basis, cost basis, time vs. cost basis, and free trials. For example, giving a discounted product price that will only be available in 1 or 2 weeks is an example of time vs. cost basis. Giving offers to your visitors will increase the chances of them purchasing your product.

Good Content:

Any content in your landing page should be related, excellently written, and contain quality material. This means giving concise and clear explanations for your product.

Show only genuine product related testimonial so customers will have faith in you. If you show useless or obviously manufactured testimonials, customers will lose their trust.

Pay attention to your bonus section. You should give bonuses related to your product and not anything else. Customer won’t like it if they get unrelated merchandise.

Signup Forms:

Signup forms also increase landing page conversion rates. If you give any free samples for your product (not bonus offers). If customers are impressed with your free samples, they will surely purchase.

Trust in your product:

Trusting your product means showing images of product-related awards, displaying your brand proudly, showing your phone number, clickbank , or adsense check if your product earns money online, and others. Don’t give any hints that you don’t think the product is worth the price. No person will buy it if you don’t stand by it.

Call to Action:

This is an important aspect. Without the call-to-action, your visitors won’t turn into customers. You can give the call-to-action via a button, discount coupon, or hot-linked text.

Examples: Instant download, 30 days money back guarantee, 10% discount etc.

Browser Before the fold:

Before the first fold of your browser is very important, because when visitors come to your site this is usually the first thing they notice. If they don’t like the initial screen of your landing page, they will immediately close it. Make your initial screen look like the following screenshot to increase your landing page conversion rates:

Eye Catching:

If you put anything in your landing page, it must be eye catching in design color, button color, images, etc.

Popup forms also increase landing page conversion rates if you put some attractive benefits for your product in the forms. Make sure it looks impressive and will provide visitors with value, or else they’ll be annoyed at the popup.

Money Back Guarantee:

A money back guarantee is also an excellent way to increase product conversion rates. Give a 30 or 60 days money back guarantee according to the product you’re selling. The money back guarantee creates a sense of security and customers will feel more comfortable in purchasing your product. Also, make sure you follow through when someone wants a refund. Not giving them their money back according to the policy will brand you as a fraud, and that’s the last thing you want to be.

You should give an exact price for what your product is worth and not overcharge. Most customers know the estimated value of a product, and if they find out that you’re charging more than you should, they won’t purchase. Better be truthful and price accordingly.

Don’t give multiple offers about products that are widely different in scope and topics or products that use rehearsed material. If you give multiple offers, customers will be confused and you will end up losing most of them. So give one solid offer instead.

The button is one of the most important parts to increase landing page conversion rates, because this is where your call-to-action is. The button is the customers direct line to you and your product, so create it using visible and bright colors such as orange, blue, green, or red.

Good, quality images also significantly increase conversion rates. Most people prefer seeing attractive visual content instead of reading boring text, so put images in your landing page.

Nowadays, video marketing is at its peak level, so try to put videos in your landing page as laid out in the design instruction above. However, don’t get carried away and put large video files. 1 to 5 minutes should be enough. Also, make sure the video is related to your product benefits and not about some random fluff.

Test everything in your landing page. Do split testing (different types of landing pages) with Google optimizer. Different types of landing pages mean that you change minor details such as with or without video, different button colors, and so on until you find the ideal landing page.

Put a privacy policy to put some standard and authority in your product. This also increase conversion rates a little bit.

Very nice summation. Thank you for taking the time to put this together. Would you implement this much differently for an *affiliate landing page* which sends traffic to the vendor’s landing page?

To send traffic to the vendor’s landing page, actually you need a lead page which should have just a video and a email form. When a visitor signs up for the email list, you should show the vendor sales page as the email subscription thank you page.

Another one way is, you may use landing page where you have a header and detailed review, bonus etc but not a sidebar. Use the aff link everywhere you mention about the product and put a button also to the sales page.
