The video will be saved in camstudio format. Not in any other formats. You have to use “Produce Video as” option to create final video. I will explain this on next step.

Procedure:

Start Record screen – You can select full screen or custom position. IF you are selecting custom, you can select custom position by dragging. Click on the audio, the audio symbol should be shown then only it will record your audio while record audio. To start recording press “Record” or  “F9” and to stop recording press “Record” or “F10”. Hi You can save the video in wmv format or mp4 format. Mp4 format is best for uploading in Youtube and then embed it in your wordpress blog posts and pages. Prefer mp4 format. In camtasia, mp4 is possible.

    Thanks.

How about if I’m hosting the video on my own server? What do you recommend as the best way to embed into the post or page for Wordpress?

It may be webcam video or screencast video. You can use both. Just you have to drag and drop the video to PIP track thats all.

I created a wmv file using Camtasia 7.0. I used Saved as.

I needed to keep within a 180 bit rate per second.

The resulting video however is too blurry.

Do you know how I can make my video sharper?

    Thanks.
